Turkey Construction Costs Rose 31.97 Percent Year-On-Year
The construction cost index rose 3.44 percent month-on-month in March and 31.97 percent year-on-year.
- According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), monthly material prices rose by 4.89 percent, labor costs by 0.36 percent, and year-on-year material prices by 37.96 percent and labor costs by 20.36 percent.
- Building construction costs in Turkey rose 3.18 percent month-on-month and 31.62 percent year-on-year. On a monthly basis, material prices rose 4.60 percent, labor costs rose 0.24 percent, and on an annual basis, material prices rose 37.42 percent, and labor costs rose 20.63 percent.
- Construction costs for non-building structures rose 4.32 percent month-on-month and 33.18 percent year-on-year. On a monthly basis, material prices rose 5.83 percent, labor costs rose 0.78 percent, and on an annual basis, material prices rose 39.76 percent, and labor costs rose 19.37 percent.
