Foreigners compete to buy homes in Turkey. Foreign citizens accelerated their purchase of housing from Turkey. Citizens of many countries, from Sudan to Iran to Yemen to Afghanistan, buy real estate in Turkey.
Home sales to foreigners rose 416.1 per cent year-on-year to 4,77 in April.
According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Istanbul took the first place in April with the sale of 2,9 houses in the sales of houses to foreigners. Istanbul was followed by Antalya with 859 house sales, Ankara with 228 house sales, Mersin with 197 house sales and Bursa with 131 house sales, respectively.
2021 January-April home sales to foreigners increased by 19 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and rose to 13,964.
