HOUSE PRICES SOARED IN THREE MAJOR CITIES
The house price index rose 7.19 Thu cent year-on-year in November.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announces its Housing Price Index data for November 2019.
Accordingly, the house price index (kfe) (2017=100), calculated to monitor price changes free of the quality impact of houses in Turkey, increased by 1.09 per cent in November 2019 compared to the previous month and was at 117.10.
KFE, which increased by 7.19 per cent compared to the same month the previous year, declined by 3.05 per cent in real terms over the same period.
- When the developments in the house price indices of the three major cities were evaluated, the increase in the rates of 2.01, 0.76 and 1.13 per cent was observed in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir in November 2019 compared to the previous month, respectively.
- Index values increased by 1.30 percent, 6.48 percent and 7.47 percent in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.
