Meteorology's scaremongering report ... threat grows

According to the map in the drought and temperature reports of the General Directorate of Meteorology in April, 'severe', 'very severe' and 'extraordinary' droughts were observed in eastern Anatolia, Southeast and southern parts of the Aegean in Turkey.

According to the standard rainfall Index (SPI) and percentage of normal method (PNI), the drought report prepared by the General Directorate of Meteorology observed severe, very severe and extraordinary drought in April, especially in the inner parts of eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia and most of the south-western Aegean, as well as parts of Corum and Amasya.

In the North Aegean and Marmara, very, medium, light and normal humidity levels were measured, while extreme humidity took place on the coasts of Zonguldak and Bartın.

Meteorology's 2021 April average temperatures compared to the 1981-2010 normal report, the average temperatures in Ipsala and Samandag circles are below the seasonal normals were said.

Temperatures were recorded in eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions, Kuşadası, Bodrum, Milas, above seasonal norms.


RECORD TEMPERATURE IN CEYLANPINAR

0.8 DEGREE INCREASE IN THE AEGEAN REGION

The average temperature in the Aegean was above the seasonal norms in Kusadasi, Bodrum, Milas circles, and around the seasonal norms in other parts.

April's average for many years was 13.8 degrees, while this year it rose to 14.6 degrees. The lowest temperature was minus 3.7 degrees and the highest was 35 degrees in Aydın.


35 DEGREES WERE SEEN IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

The average temperature in the Mediterranean Sea was below the seasonal norms around Samandag, Isparta, Alanya, Anamur, Senirkent, Göksun, Egirdir, Köyceğiz, Gazipaşa, above the seasonal norms around them. In other parts, the season occurred around normal.

The region's April average for many years was 15 degrees, while this year it has risen to 15.9 degrees. The lowest temperature was minus 5.5 degrees, while the highest was 35.2 degrees.


CENTRAL ANATOLIA IS ALSO HEATING UP

The average temperature in Central Anatolia was above the seasonal norms in Sivas, Kırıkkale, Kangal, Pınarbaşı circles, and around the seasonal norms in other parts.

April's average for many years was 10.2 degrees, while this year it rose to 11.5 degrees. The lowest minus 5 degrees were measured in Yunak and Pınarbaşı, and the highest 31 degrees were measured in Kırıkkale.


THE HOTTEST AMASYA IN THE BLACK SEA

Average temperature in the Black Sea akçakoca, Inebolu Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Osmancık, Ispir, Oltu was above the seasonal norms in the circles, around the seasonal norms in other parts.

April has averaged 11 degrees for many years, while this year it has risen to 11.8 degrees. The lowest was minus 3.4 degrees Bolu, the highest was 33.4 degrees Amasya.


EASTERN ANATOLIA ROSE 3.3 DEGREES

The average temperature in eastern Anatolia was above seasonal norms in the entire region. April's average for many years was 8.7 degrees, up from 3.3 degrees this year to 12 degrees. The lowest temperature was minus 6.4 degrees Ozalp,the highest was 32.9 degrees Iğdır.


IT APPROACHED 37 DEGREES IN APRIL

The average temperature in the southeast was around seasonal norms around Kahta, and above seasonal norms in other parts.

April's average for many years was 15 degrees, while this year it was 17.6 degrees, with a difference of 2.6 degrees. The lowest temperature was 0.9 degrees in Diyarbakir and Batman, and the highest was 36.9 degrees in Ceylanpinar.
